The first stop was to the Fiesta in Florissant - a Hispanic festival. It was held near
the Old St. Ferdinand Shrine. This is the oldest standing church in the Louisiana
Territory built 1821 - the oldest Catholic church between the Misssissippi and the
Rockies. It wasn't yet open when we got there, but we should go back to see it sometime.
There are a few memorials around the grounds.
The festival itself was either just starting or not popular - we wandered the booths but
there was almost no one there.
