Castlewood State Park

On 4/11/2004 my parents and I visited Castlwood State Park - was their first time and my second.

Looking up the path to the overlook. Its only been a few weeks, but things are noticeably greener.

Looking down the path. Things are greener the way I came too, surprisingly.

The fallen log is still here with the mushroom next to it.

The Merrimac still looks good.

Interesting building right on the edge down that way.

Hawk in the tree. I really do need a camera with a zoom.

Interesting fallen rotting tree.

Ruin near the overlook. I wonder what this used to be...

Going back down the path. Logs redirect water off the edge of the path instead of going down the middle. Erosion in action.

The beach and the river at the boat launch.

Wind made interesting ripples in the water.

The very edge of the beach was also interesting. There were a lot of interesting things today. That's interesting to note.

Scenic is good.
