The memorial to the Mercury astronauts and where they took off from - Launch Complex 14. The round building is the blockhouse for this pad, and note the slope in front of it to deflect anything that might come that way - it also has a rather impressive blast door, though other doors are thicker in other blockhouses.

John Glenn and others still have marked parking spaces.

It was a very well used pad - this sign, above the blockhouse entrance, is what launched from it. The numbers missing in the sequence are the ones that failed.

Some of the pads have old kiosks giving information about them - this is the kiosk at Launch Complex 14.
