It was a very nice day as seen from my parking lot, but as we had
gotten a late start we decided to stay close to home.
A building next to my parking lot.
After lunch we headed to the gardens. This is the fountain after entering the gardens
proper.
The gardens are extensive. Plants are both indoor and outdoor depending on conditions
needed for them to survive. Here's one of the buildings.
This lake has ducks and koi (carp) that people were feeding. The ducks and fish
both fought for the food. One duck actually stuck its beak down the throat of
one of the carp. That was entertaining.
One of the three wedding parties we saw wandering the grounds. At the end of our visit
we were sitting by the fountain in the first pic above and had to move as a photographer
was trying to take wedding pictures.
After leaving the gardens we went to Clayton Rd. via 40. Jill pointed out this was the
largest Amoco sign in the area - possibly anywhere. A photo moment.
