After passing through a restaurant and gift shop, the ticket booth, rock museum and
waiting area are already in the cave.
Hollywood filmed here. This is a cave used for a couple's "honeymoon" courtesy of Art
Linkletter (a honeymoon "deep in the Ozarks").
Frank and Jesse James hid out here for a bit. Two statues mark the spot where loot they
left behind was later found. This is why it is called Loot Rock.
An episode of Lassie was filmed here too. Timmy got lost in the cave and Lassie saved
him. Bet you couldn't have guessed the episode ending.
Cave stuff. Meramac has the third largest stalagmite in the world, only one of
two of a table-like formation in the world, and a 7 story tall, 35 ft deep flow
thing which is also nearly if not truly the best in the world.

There is another cave with a gate preventing entry that we passed as we were driving
out. Can't go in as it would bother the bats.
Heard cooing inside - seemed to be coming from pidgeons. This one was very friendly.
