The next stop was Powder Mill. A rocky beach acts as a boat launch, and Jill went
wading.
Continuing on, we reached Blue Spring, the deepest spring in Missouri at over 300
feet. The camera doesn't do justice to the deepness of the blue color. Jill said
she only had seen blue like this once before - at Crater Lake. The water is also
very clear.
The spring produces 87 million gallons of water a day - the water from it bent the
underwater plants and moved quickly downstream.
There were ripples in the water. Some were due to water bugs but others didn't
have any obvious source - the water from below?
