Nov 29 - Bennington, VT and Williamstown, MA

Williamstown, MA

Becky headed back to NY and Jim and I were onward to Williamstown. Jim, an Assistant Professor at Williams, had to return for a faculty meeting. Nice drive - here around Pownal still in VT on US 7.

Jim in his office. Williams gave him a PC (running FreeBSD and the maze screensaver) and a Powerbook.

That Powerbook runs mac OS X. Yes, that's a tcsh window and Pine. I know, its wierd.

Jim teaches parallel computing, and is also a Yankees fan.

Didn't have too much time to tour around afterward, but we did pass through the Science Court, a new connection between buildings in the aptly named Unified Science Center.

Spring Street, decorated for the holidays. Yes, its perpetually under construction but it has a number of restaurants and small shops that are frequented by Williams people.
