Northeast Trip Christmas 2003

More Dec 26

One of the people we went to visit was Julie Lefebvre. She gave us a nice tour around the coast near Portland. Here's the Atlantic, and people surfing in it. Yes, you can surf in Maine on Dec 26.

Rocks, birds and an oil tanker in the distance.

Portland Head Light, the most photographed lighthouse in Maine.

The edge of Portland Head Light, and another lighthouse in the distance.

Another lighthouse.

Lobster boats.

Looking back toward Portland.

A docked oil tanker.

Derricks under construction. These are self-propelled and will go where they are needed.

Julie's 2 year old daughter Laura.

We came back through southern New Hampshire. A lot of NH looks like this.

An annoying intersection in NH - a ski area is to the right and things are bad when the skiers leave for the day. Not bad now though. Apparently Dot's Restaurant in the center is well known.

Back in Williamstown. Note that its slogan is "The Village Beautiful". Those lions? They are the entrance to a trailer park.
