The first stop was the original confluence park in Missouri. It too has
a water gauge.
The Missouri was moving quickly, and was filled with debris from the recent major
storms this past week.
Looking toward the other confluence park which should be at that point of land.
It doesn't seem to be there - the water is very high, submerging it.
Looking at both the new park and old park overlooks.
We took part of the 3 mile path along the river. We passed a log with mushrooms on it.
A slightly blurry pic of some of them.
An interesting fungus, but, hey, aren't they all interesting?
We stopped walking when the path was blocked by a tree that had fallen in one of
Thursday's storms.
The river was still active - a log going down the Missouri and a barge going up the Miss.
We next stopped in Fenton at Unger park - its near work but I hadn't been there before.
It offers views of the Merrimac, also high and very brown.
There's a little building on the other side of the river.
This can be seen from the park - is that Riverchase? Its got a great view.
There was lots of stuff on the surface here - debris and scum.
Don't go here. Note that the road goes into the water.
