Looking down Laclede toward Euclid.

A fire engine parked on Euclid.

Construction cranes on Forest Park Parkway.

A smokestack which is part of the BJC hospital complex.

The view from the Central West End Metrolink station.

The view from the Stadium Metrolink station.

Busch Stadium is downtown. Its a nice sunny day too and the skyscrapers are nice and polished.

Stadium parking - getting ready for Christmas too.

The stadium is near the old courthouse - where the Dredd Scott decision was decided. It looks a bit out of place surrounded by modern buildings.

Walking toward the arch - its hard to miss.

Getting closer - the old cathedral is also nearby. The arch again can be seen.

At the arch. The small squares at the apex are the observation windows.

Did I mention its a sunny day?

A view of the Mississippi from the arch grounds.

Another view with the Casino Queen on the opposite bank. Note the plaque pointed to by the arrow.

This is the plaque. Yes, its really really high up.

Below the arch steps is a road, another set of steps, another road, and cobblestones that
lead to the river. This is a look north - the Admiral casino ship is seen.

At the water's edge. Yes, its very brown. Cold too.

Lots of gulls on the cobblestones.

Some of the cobblestones look nice, some can use some work.

The cobblestones are here because the water level rises. A depth gauge is built into the hill - a pic from just above the 17 foot mark.

Some of the boats are tied high up on the cobblestone hill with chains to eyelets dug into the hill.

Mississippi transportation - trucks, trains and barges.

Back to the arch grounds - different birds here than by the river.

The old courthouse looking west.

Tall buildings look even taller when you are standing next to them.

The Federal Reserve at 4th and Locust.

If they have a camera taking a picture of me, I can take a picture of it.

STL seems to have plaques that commemorate various things. Across the street from the
fed is this one which points out the location where Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) had a job in 1853.

Heading back to the metro stop still shows the skyscrapers are nice and shiny.
